Layout 1800, 98 Keys + 1 Knob

The GK980 keyboard features a layout of 1800 keys, including 98 keys and 1 rotary knob. This layout skips the home clusters found in a full keyboard, retaining the numpad and leaving space for arrow keys. The addition of the rotary knob allows for easy volume control by simply rotating it left or right.

Switch Gateron Optical Switches

The GK980 is equipped with Gateron optical switches, which are 1-pin switches triggered by a laser through the contact point. Unlike traditional mechanical switches, optical switches have a longer lifespan and are more durable. The Gateron optical switches in the GK980 are pre-lubed at the factory, providing better sound and prolonging their lifespan. The keyboard offers a variety of switch options, including linear blacks, yellows, and reds, as well as tactile browns and clicky blues.

PBT Pudding Keycaps in GK7 Profile

The keycaps on the GK980 keyboard are made of high-quality PBT material, known for its sturdiness and resistance to oil even after long-term use. The keycaps feature a pudding design with transparent sides, allowing the keyboard to glow brightly in dark environments. The keycaps are made in the customized GK7 profile, which ensures an ergonomic typing angle and compatibility with the north-facing LEDs without any interference.

16.8 Million RGB Backlight

The GK980 keyboard offers a 16.8 million RGB backlight, allowing you to set up colors and rhythms according to your preferences. Shallow Gasket Structure & Bottom Foam

The GK980 keyboard features a patented Shallow Gasket design, which includes an all-in-one silicone pad made of lightweight liquid silicone. This pad is inserted between the PCB board and the plate, providing support in the main typing area and cushioning the shock of every keystroke. Additionally, the keyboard contains a foam layer at the bottom to reduce hollow sounds and enhance the typing experience.
